Drake first rose to fame as an actor, playing Jimmy Brooks on the popular show “Degrassi: The Next Generation”. He appeared in over 140 episodes of the show. His character on the show is mainly known from the tragic shooting that put the Brooks character in a wheelchair. 2. Lil Wayne Didn’t Want to Sign Drake.
Before there was SoundCloud, Spotify, Apple Music, and more, there was Myspace. Jas Prince (son of Rap-a-Lot founder James Prince) found Drake’s music and introduced the Canadian rapper’s music to Lil Wayne in hopes of signing Drake to Young Money. Lil Wayne wasn’t impressed. 3. Drake Was Working On An Entire Aaliyah Album But Scrapped It.

After dropping the 2012 track “Enough Said” which featured vocals from Aaliyah, Drake announced that he and his producer 40 were working on an entire album of material from Aaliyah, who died in a plane crash in 2001. The internet didn’t hold back to voice their criticism, prompting the two to cancel the project altogether and scrap it.

Drake is a die-hard Harry Potter fan. He loves the franchise so much, he has been searching for the first edition of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. 5. Drake has a thing for gorgeous pools.
Before Drake got big, Drake spent a lot of time Googling epic residential pools and dreaming of his “someday” mansion when he finally makes it big. Drake finally bought his first in Los Angeles n 2012 after becoming a multimillionaire. The home was worth $7.7 million and came with one of the beautiful pools he was Googling - with an 80 ft waterslide, flat-screen TVs in the grotto, elk statues and flame spitting iron torches. Drake’s estate was titled the “YOLO Estate”. In January 2017, Drake put the home up for sale for $20 million.
